Our Sangha is Everywhere
by Ki Bong Sahn

Zen practice means working as a community. Doing things with others, becoming one with your moment-with whatever you are doing and whomever you are with-and just doing it. This spreads far beyond our Sangha. Our Sangha is everywhere- there is no corner of the world populated by man or animal that is not our Sangha. It is everywhere, and the teachings are within all people. But are we listening? When we act in complete unison with others our own situation disappears, this "I" is not present. This is how the action of love and compassion occurs. Just doing it-whatever it is you happen to be doing, and doing it. This is so simple, not even slightly complicated.
