The truth is if you were truly interested in science you wouldn't turn your back on the things that are different. A true scientist wants to explore those differences, not shun them. Some people are highly religious. Why? What makes some people religious and other not? Is there some underlying condition that divides humans into believers and non-believers? That's the kind of question a scientist asks! I don't believe in God and for the life of me I cannot imagine a circumstance where I could ever believe in God, yet I have several very religious friends and relatives who do believe in God and I'm sure they cannot imagine a circumstance where they could ever NOT believe in God. WHY? Are we hardwired from birth to believe in God or not believe in God like a person is born with any other predisposition, like being either straight or gay?Because your view is so narrow you're missing the whole paradox.. Could one's belief/non-belief in God actually be a scientific phenomenon??
Also, get off the whole colour thing. The negativity you are experiencing isn't from others. It's from within you. Don't blame others for bringing you down. You make a victim of yourself. It's a lack of your own self-control that results in your negative feelings. Everyone carries their own baggage, that's true.. but why are you letting other people's baggage affect you? That's not their fault... that's your own fault. Colour has nothing to do with it. Your problem is far deeper than the t-shirt you're wearing.
Also.. talk to your parents. Someday they will be gone and the time you've lost with them now can never be reclaimed.
