concepts are like a scaffold, that can be used to build a house...but you can not live in the scaffold.
You can describe to me the taste of,.. say a fruit juice, and I may think that I understand you,
but this understanding is not real,it is conceptual, only when I taste it,than I will know what you are talking about.intellect, concepts might bring me to the door,
but the entrance, has to be done "experientially" otherwise I shall remain "outside" .of it for forever."Thinking" that I have entered.scientific, means,a hypothesis can be tested AND repeated,
science is BY NO MEANS a panacea, but it beats conceptuality/phliophy/beliefs/opinions etc... hands down.seeing into one's nature is the goal, buddha, zen, etc... are just the maps to guide you towards that goal,it is important to make the distinction,as it is said "the map is not the territory".it would be a mistake to get hung up on maps and take them for the real, actually this is what all christians do..complete and total "hung-up"ed-ness on the maps, scriptures ..scriptures are dead, they are not alive, their usefulness lies ONLY in pointing
towards the goal.they are not the goal, they are the scaffold ,not the house .
When the house is built, the scaffold is discarded,"one has reached to other shore".no need for scaffolds any more.
