very nice post..!!I enjoyed it very much..thank you/
on the question of cause and effect ,there is more than meets the eye..
You may totally disagree, with what I will say..
cause and effect,is not necessarily a linear relationship,i.e.cause and then effect, that is erroneous look, this is why many so called scholars,do not comprehend the "dependent arising".
as far as reality is concerned, science tells us,that there is no FUNDAMENTAL reality(you can refer to the "copenhagen interpratation".)
Logic can take us only so far, quantum mechanics is the most "illogical" scientific developpment, yet it has been tested again and again ,and holds true.no one has ever been able to discredit it yet.
logic or imagination is of the mind (the discursive mind)and is always ABOUT and ABOUT something, never hitting the subject.
Dr.t.suzuki,sppeaks of "prajna " ..a rough and somewhat incorrect translation would be "intuitive insight".which penetrates reality deeper.
There are many theories, bigbang, expansion of universe, the string theory etc etc..these have never been tested as of yet.Science is by no means a panacea.it is in constant flux.
So I am left alone, with statitical inferences as my guide which takes into account randomness and probabilities.
so everything boils down to probabilities with different levels of confidence attached.neither one ever being 100%.
It seems ,one can realize the illusoriness of this world, but this is where we stop,we can not transcend it.Because it is the present day "I" that is doing the research, and this "I" can not see itself.maybe because of emptiness at its core?
