"Hi Ann"

Gassho and Bows,

That is a very open post. This hit me when you say you have: "a low tolerance for smart people who intentionally behave stupidly for their own personal short-term gain."

That is interesting. I tend to act stupidly because of some series of 'stupid' events. And ( I'm really smiling sitting here writing this) that some "smart" people act stupid and make some short or long term gains.
That must be physical "Gains": things like Money? I know one cannot fool the spiritual experiences, such as wisdom.

I'd like to hear more about this beef your having with yourself. Yeah, like Hogen would say: "plant garlic seeds and you will reap garlic".
So the same goes for "crap". Do you include a short contemplation about impermanance, no self, and the four noble truths (right view) daily? I bet you do. I have had time to just sit the past few months. And it is all crap that makes a fertile compost in which the most beatiful fruits and flowers give it all back.

Metta,

Richard
