"Talking & Walking"

posted by Richard

Gassho Ann,

I know for me walking is much more difficult than the talking. Walking connotes that one has gotten somewhere and from that experience can share with us in great detail where they have been. I understand what you mean by enlightenment; but I see more now what Hogen meant when he would say "ever one wants to talk about enlightenment and some secret handshake to get there. (I Pharaphrase)". He was more concerned about daily practice. I feel you and I have entered the Stream and have been blessed with this re-birth.
I feel I know that just understanding the Four Noble Truths is monumental. This is Right View.

We don't hide from who we are now in this lifetime, or on the Forum. This is a part of leaving "self" at the edge of the stream.
I'm glad you have already turned green.

Metta,

Richard
